Novel Coronavirus Impact – Advisory Notice #1

31/01/2020

Please find below an update as to how Swire Shipping is managing the recent Novel Coronavirus outbreak:

Mainland China Operations

Our top priorities in this period remain the health and safety of our employees and other stakeholders in Mainland China and globally, as well as minimising any impact to our customers’ operations.

In accordance with the Central Government’s notice, all business premises will remain closed until Monday 3rd February. As per local government notices, all business premises in Shanghai, Qingdao and
Guangzhou will remain closed until 10th February. At the time of this notice, it is our expectation that from 3rd February, our offices in Beijing and Tianjin will re-open and our offices in Shanghai, Qingdao and Guangzhou will re-open on 10th February. We shall issue a further update if this situation changes in
line with relevant government regulations.

Throughout this period, we will be offering a full range of customer services. Please continue to contact your existing Swire Shipping representatives. Where necessary measures have been taken to ensure employees can work from home if they are unable to attend the office in person. We look forward to continuing to support our customers during this period.

Wider Network Operations

With an extensive liner shipping network covering the Asia-Pacific region, we are assessing any changes in local regulations that will impact our services as a result of the Novel Coronavirus outbreak. It is possible that some port calls will be delayed as additional precautions against the Novel Coronavirus are
implemented. We will fully support and comply with such local measures, whilst working closely with the relevant authorities to minimise the impact to our customers’ supply chains. If such delays occur, we will update impacted customers accordingly.

During this period, we are taking additional measure and precautions in relation to the crewing of our owned and chartered vessels to ensure the safety of our crews.

Please check our website regularly for further updates.
