After a long period of declining ocean freight rates and escalating operating costs with equipment shortage and capacity crunch, Swire Shipping is announcing the implementation of a rate restoration for cargo moving from Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands which is necessary to maintain our existing supply solutions.
Swire Shipping is committed to maintaining its highest level of service in this core trading region and this rate restoration is required to ensure we can continue to provide extensive port coverage and long-term sustainability of these services.

The increase which will be applied to ocean freight (OCF), and are payable by the freight payer, will become applicable for any shipment with a Bill of Lading date of October 1st or later.
