Customer Notice – Swire Shipping’s Australia to Pacific Islands Service recommences

We are pleased to announce the recommencement of the Independent Australia to Pacific Islands Service, commencing 31st January 2022 in Melbourne.

Our MV KOKOPO CHIEF (Miho Class) will be redeployed, under phase 1*, operating on a 26 day frequency, providing direct port coverage from Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane AU to Noumea NC, Port Vila VU, Lautoka and Suva FJ.

*Eastern Pacific Ports Apia WS, Pago Pago AS and Nuku’alofa TO will continue under transhipment connection, now serviced via Suva FJ with improved service levels, capacity and transit times.

*All other Australia to Pacific Island and West Coast North America service offerings remain. For the latest updates, please refer to our latest schedules, available at www.swireshipping.com. Alternatively you can also contact your local Swire Shipping representative.

Due to the significant delays experienced through the Christmas and New Year period, there are some misconnections with the Australia to Pacific Islands cargo on the MV LIHIR CHIEF V.2203N and MV CORAL CHIEF V.2204N via Noumea. All Australia to Pacific Islands cargo booked on these voyages will be transferred to the MV KOKOPO CHIEF V.2201N improving cargo delivery dates. Our Customer Success Teams will be in contact to provide updated booking confirmations. We understand this may have impact for exporters and receivals. We are working with the terminals to increase the receival windows to assist as best possible.
